Hearing Clinics
  • The Hearing Center includes six rooms to measure the hearing level, three of them are specialized in measuring the hearing level for children. The distinguished thing in these rooms that they are fully voice-isolated rooms in which they have been designed and prepared by distinctive Jordanian competencies where the imported voice-isolated rooms were not useful in working with children and adults comfortably due to their small size.
  • In addition to that, the Hearing Center includes the examination and evaluation clinic of tympanic membrane, the examination clinic of inner ear, the examination devices of eardrum, otoscope, the examination device of hearing-aids, and device of the Auditory Brainstem Test.
  • Further to that, the Center includes the balance Clinic which contains (posturography) device that gives knowledge on the balance functions of inner ear
  • The inner ear’s examination device by heating (caloric test), which examines function of the eighth cranial nerve concerned for hearing and balance.
  • Vedio Otoscopy. Adding that the examiner can see the eardrum and diagnose its problems, students and observers can also see what the examiner sees on the TV screen to enable everyone of watching that. This examination can be recorded on video tapes as we can return to the videos at any time later.
  • The Center includes the devices’ calibration unit which includes the calibration device of hearing examination devices.
  • Laboratory templates, it is an integrated laboratory including all the necessary devices to take the ear situation and manufacture the appropriate hearing-aids molds for each patient individually
Speech Clinics

The Center includes nine training rooms; each of them has its own monitoring room, hearing devices for a training purpose, and to enable parents of watching their children from a distance. In addition to that, the Center includes fully voice-isolated rooms and the following devices:

  • Computerized Speech Lab, which it enables an examiner of measuring the physical values and the human-voice standards for patients in order to diagnose the physiological pronunciation for them, if there any problems in speech, and the voice tone and intensity.
  • Aerophone (air-pressure measuring), which it enables the examiner of measuring the respiratory systems’ ability to support the sounds production for a human.
  • Visipitch, a device for measuring the sound tone, and intensity.
  • Nasometer, which it is concerned for measuring the " Resonant disorder” in which it evaluates the ability of Articulatory system (Vocal apparatus) to pronounce nasal and oral sounds properly.
  • Spirometer, it is used to measure the lung capacity, which it enables the examiner of measuring the respiratory system's ability to support the sounds production for a human.
  • Electrolarynx, there are three portable devices concerned for sound production. These devices are used by patients who finished Laryngectomy operations for different reasons.
  • Laryngeal Video Stroboscope, in which the examiner can see vocal cords meanwhile producing of different sounds and diagnose the sound disorders resulting from physical illnesses such as bleeding, Vocal fold nodule, and vocal cord paralysis.


In addition, the Center has a large number of selected, and objective games that serve in the speech-rehabilitation process for children and their willing for therapeutic sessions.
