The Establishment
The Center began its work in the year 2003 inside the campus of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, as it has been officially opened in 2005 under the patronage of His Royal Highness, Prince Ra’ed Bin-Zaid, aiming to train students of the Hearing and Speech Department which refers to the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and aiming to serve the local community. The specialized clinics at the Center include a number of experts and specialists in the Kingdom in this field as well as a set of advanced devices which are in position to do assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of the language, and speech disorders as well as the hearing and balance disorders in all its kinds. The Center is also considered as one of the foremost accredited training centers in Jordan for providing the trained and qualified scientific-specialists. Since the establishment, the Center has been based on a sort of non-profit, served philosophy. Where the aim of establishing the Center was training students of Al-Ahliyya Amman University as well as serving the local and national community in all its sectors. For that reason, the University administration decided - since beginning the work at the Center - to emphasize on making completely free services including evaluating the speech and language disorders in addition to implementing the therapy sessions, hearing test, and evaluation of the hearing weakness in all its types as well as doing molds for medical headphones.
