A Lecture on Addiction and its Dangers at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

In realization of the vision and mission of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and to enable cooperation with the local community, a lecture was held on Wednesday, 23 March 2022, at Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences for students of the faculty entitled "Drugs and the dangers of addiction and its impact on society" in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. The lecture was delivered by Professor Anas Al-Tantawi/ Head of Public Relations at Al Rasheed Hospital for Psychiatry and Addiction, in which he stressed the importance of raising awareness among citizens about the dangers of addiction and drugs to society. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Professor Dr. Nael Al-Sharaa and a number of faculty members and students that actively interacted with the lecturer through a number of inquiries and interventions that added value to the lecture. The discussion was moderated by Professor Dr. Sawsan Badrakhan / Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities at the faculty.
