Prof. Sadeq Abdullah Hamed, the president of AAU since 2011, holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering, M.Sc. in Power Electronics and Systems and Ph.D. in Power Electronics (AC Power Conditioning & Electrical Machines Control).
Prof. Hamed has published more than 25 research papers in highly-ranked journals and conferences, such as design and implementation of inverter systems, UPS systems and AC power conditioning systems.
In addition to his long experience in the field of education as a university professor, locally and internationally, he has supervised many M.Sc Theses. Prof. Sadeq Hamed was the Vice-President for Academic Affairs & Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at AAU, also as Dean of Faculty of Engineering Technology (Polytechnic), Al-Balqa’ Applied University, Vice Dean, of Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Jordan and Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Jordan.
Prof. Hamed is a member of the following societies and associtions:
- IEEE (Power Electronic Society, Industrial Electronics Society, Industrial Applications Society), IEE and Jordan Engineering Association.
