Opening of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Club at the Faculty of Information Technology.
With the participation of several companies and a range of activities, the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Club was inaugurated at the Faculty of Information Technology. The event began with a student presentation discussing the club and its activities. The club president, student Rakan Saleh, highlighted the projects that students have started implementing in real life. Student Lana Al-Dabbas provided us with the club's vision, the formation of specialized student groups, and the continuous effort to enhance the field by staying updated with the latest developments in data science and artificial intelligence.
The inauguration commenced with a speech by Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharai'ah, the head of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence department, who discussed the department's vision, mission, and the successful journey that has started yielding remarkable results through a group of outstanding students. He expressed his gratitude to the students for their excellent organization and also extended his thanks to the invitees and speakers.
Dr. Hassan Al-Tarawneh, the General Supervisor of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Club, provided an introductory overview of the speakers. He introduced Mr. Hussam Al-Hurani, the Head of Education Department at Orange, and Engineer Ahmed Al-Tarawneh, the Director of the Cyber Shield Academy affiliated with the National Center for Development and Design.
Mr. Hussam Al-Hurani spoke about the role of artificial intelligence and data science in the future, as well as a set of applied projects in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. Then, Major Ahmed Al-Tarawneh discussed the role of artificial intelligence in developing the cybersecurity system and the applied projects in the field of cybersecurity.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Qasim Khurma presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers, expressing gratitude for their presence and for sharing their experiences with the students. Dr. Hassan Al-Tarawneh then provided an overview of the students' projects and the invited companies through a tour of the Amman Square at Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
